No Obligation
We get it—subscriptions can feel like a big commitment. But Mountain Gazette isn’t about obligation.
It’s about intention.

More than a magazine, it’s a twice-a-year reminder to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with what matters—like the wild places we love, both outside and within.
We know you might still have questions—here are a few answers to the most common ones:
📬 How does a subscription work?
Two massive print issues per year. One in the spring and one the in fall. Both issues are shipped straight to your door.
📦 What’s in the package?
Each issue is packed with long-form stories, full-bleed photography, essays, illustrations, and voices you won’t find anywhere else in outdoor media.
📏 How BIG is this magazine really?
It’s 11x17 inches. No, seriously. It’s huge. People have been known to clear off their coffee tables just to make space for it.

📖 How many pages? How long does it take to read?
Around 160+ pages per issue. (Issue 205 will be even bigger) Some readers stretch it over a season. Others binge it in a weekend. In either case, there will most certainly be some dog-eared stories you'll revisit again and again.
🚚 Where do you ship to?
Most places in the U.S. and Canada. International? We got you — just select your location at checkout.
🔄 Can I start with the current issue?
Yes, although we do sell out! When the current issue is available it will show up as "Add Current Issue" just about the add to cart button on the subscribe page.
🔁 Is this a recurring subscription?
Yes — we’ll renew you annually so you never miss an issue. You can manage your subscription and cancel at any time.
📚 Can I get past issues?
We have a limited supply of back issues, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. Shop our current Back Issues.
🤔 How will it make me feel?
Like you’re in on something. Like you belong to a tribe of writers, photographers, and readers who actually get the mountains.

This Is Your Magazine
"The folks at MG are wonderful. Love the magazine. Yup, too big to take on an airplane - but it sure is pretty on the coffee table, and a nice experience. The slow food equivalent to other mags."
