Frequently Asked Questions

WHERE IS MY ORDER?
Mountain Gazette releases new issues in the spring and fall each year. We process every order as soon as the magazines arrive at our warehouse. Once your copy leaves the warehouse it is delivered by USPS to the address you entered at checkout. Please allow 7-10 days for your magazine to arrive.

USPS are losing between 3-5% of issues (it's a headache for us, too). With that said, please email help@mountaingazette.com with your order number in the Subject Line and we'll get a status update on your order. We answer customer service emails on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If your issue is not delivered, we will send a replacement.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY ADDRESS?
Good news, you don't have to email anyone anymore. You can update your shipping address by logging into your account right here on the site.
  1. Click the icon in the upper right hand menu on the site (between the search and the cart icons), and log in to your account.
  2. A screen will show a number of buttons. Click "manage subscriptions".
  3. You'll then see a menu of options including "Subscriptions."
  4. Click "Subscriptions" and then select the subscription you wish to edit.
  5. Click "Shipping Address" and then update the address accordingly.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY PAYMENT METHODS?

  1. Click the icon in the upper right hand menu on the site (between the search and the cart icons), and log in to your account.
  2. Cick "Manage Subscriptions"
  3. Click "Payment methods"
  4. Select the payment method you wish to edit OR add a new payment method
  5. If you create a new payment method, click the "Move subscriptions here" button to assign your subscriptions to the new payment method.
AM I SUBSCRIBED?
Each Mountain Gazette subscription reserves two copies for the subscriber. You can see the status of your subscription and your purchase history right here from the site.
Click the icon in the upper right hand menu on the site (between the search and the cart icons), and log in to your account. A screen will show a number of buttons. Click "manage subscriptions". You'll see a new screen that will show your next order and previous orders.

HOW MANY ISSUES ARE INCLUDED IN MY SUBSCRIPTION?
Mountain Gazette publishes two issues per year. Our subscription currently guarantees two issues. We've enabled auto-renew to ensure you never miss a new issue of MG. We are a bi-annual magazine. And yes. We looked up bi-annual in the dictionary and it means twice per year.

WHEN WILL I GET MY MAGAZINE?
Magazines arrived at our warehouse in late-October-early November (fall issue) and May-June (spring issue). As soon as they arrive our warehouse carefully processes each order, inserts our special subscriber sticker, and ships them out.
This process typically takes 5-7 business days. International orders can take much longer. You will receive your copy of the new Mountain Gazette within two weeks of when the magazine arrives at our warehouse.

I NEED HELP LOGGING IN TO MY ACCOUNT. WHAT DO I DO?
Typically, if you're having trouble logging into your account its for one of two reasons: you're subscribed and you haven't yet created an account on the site or you forgot your password.
If you forgot your password you can request a password reset. If you haven't yet created an account, go here to create one. Once you complete the account creation form you'll receive an email confirmation request. Confirm your email and then log in to your new account on the site. All your subscription, billing, and shipping information will be available in your new account.

HOW DO I WRITE FOR MOUNTAIN GAZETTE?
Due to the high volume of submissions, we created a unique email list that we send query letters to. Go to our submissions page to request submission guidelines. You'll receive an automatic email that will ask you to confirm your address. Once you confirm your address you'll receive another email with the guidelines. With over 6,000 submissions per year we simply cannot respond to every single proposal.
