Sixty years ago, a young skier named Mike Moore launched a counter culture print publication called Skiers’ Gazette.
Now, six whole decades later, we're stoked to introduce you to Mountain Gazette 206. It's our 60th anniversary issue. Five years ago, this milestone still felt pretty far-fetched. Now, here we are, with issue number 206 printed, packed, and on its way to subscribers around the world.
This issue’s cover features an iconic shot of the late Jeremy Nobis, captured by Flip McCririck. On the backside is Keith Haring’s Untitled (Earth Day), courtesy of The Keith Haring Foundation. Inside, you'll see and read about where we’ve been as a culture, where we are, and where the hell we’re going.
