Before the Next Run: The Feel of 2025

By Hannah Truby. Photographs sourced from the community, our contributors, and the moments that passed through 2025.

As I look back over our year here at Mountain Gazette, there’s no shortage of things we could tally — but it’s the details that keep pulling me back: the sights, sounds, and textures of the smaller moments that tend to pass through us on the way to what’s next. This is what 2025 looked, sounded, and felt like, to us.
